Troop-Split Planner

This planner is the sheet you use when the count box is open and your brain wants to press max. Total Conquest lets you choose how many troops leave a tile. That choice is the skill. Pair it with controls for the clicks and with how to capture cities for the destination.

We use percentages of the stack currently on that tile because LDS Fighting has not published exact production ticks. If a patch changes rates, your floor still works.

Define the floor

Before every send, name a floor out loud.

SituationSuggested floorOverflow you may send
Your only city40–50%50–60%
Two connected cities30% on each70% from the safer city
You are the map leader40% on every urban tileOverflow only, no vanity countryside
Friend is reinforcing you25% if they can arrive this cycleRest
You are already losing the city0% β€” evacuate overflow to another cityDo not die with a full stack on a doomed tile

The only city row is the one new players skip. Do not skip it. Getting started is mostly that row.

Standard sieges

70/30 city take. 70% walks, 30% stays. Use this when you can see the defender is smaller than your 70%. If you cannot see, pretend they collected last cycle and send closer to 80/20 only if you have a second city.

50/50 two-city peek. Only when both destinations are weakly held and you still keep floors on spawn. Otherwise you take neither and lose home.

Overflow mop. Late game on how to win: floors stay, leftover troops paint remaining tiles. Never mop from your only remaining urban tile.

Worked example (no fake ticks)

You have 120 troops on City A, 40 on countryside B, and you want City C.

  1. Floor on A is 40% β†’ 48 troops stay.
  2. Overflow from A is 72. That is your siege unless C looks stacked.
  3. Countryside B is not a city. You may send all 40 as a bridge if the path needs it, or leave 10 if B is the only entrance to A.
  4. After you take C, collect immediately, then set C’s floor before you even look at the next tile.

If a missile is in play, fire it at C before the 72 arrive, not at B. Strike targeting is on the command roster.

Third-player tax

50-player servers mean a third commander is always off-camera. Every 100% send pays a tax to that player. If chat says ally, keep the floor anyway. How to win is the political version of this paragraph.

Friends calling numbers

Voice chat is not supported. Type the floor: β€œA keeps 50.” If two friends send overflow onto the same city, you crashed stacks and wasted production. Assign destinations first, amounts second. The openings list ranks friend splits.

Common misreads of the count box

  • Max is not a default you should respect. It is a trap.
  • A 1-troop send is a scout only if you can afford to lose it. Do not scout with your floor.
  • Canceling a send, if the HUD even allows it, is better than doubling down on a misclick. Beta desync: see beta notes.

After you close the planner

Collect. Then look at the tier list if you keep sending 100% anyway β€” the S-tier row is literally β€œhome guard on every urban tile.” The planner is how you obey that row with a number instead of a vibe.

Name a floor, send overflow, collect. Repeat until the map is one color.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

What split should I use on my first city attack?

70/30 if it is not your only city. 50–60% send if it is your only city, so a third player cannot walk into spawn.

Why not give exact troop counts?

The beta has no public tick table. Percentages survive patches. Absolute counts would go stale overnight.

Should I ever send 100%?

Only when evacuating a doomed tile into another city you already hold. Never from your last urban tile.

Does this replace commands?

No. Commands are extra tempo. The split is how your actual army moves. See commands.
